The piece that truly started my love for working large scale. This mural was created for Nike Boston, as a welcome to all of the athletes that find themselves there. Given free reign save for the request that I include a welcome sign similar to that you see when entering Boston, I decided to illustrate my own version of the goddess of victory (Nike's namesake). In my work I try to create more relatable figures, I want people to see themselves, especially in images of beauty and power, and be able to picture themselves the same way. I never saw bodies like mine growing up and that took a toll on my self esteem and confidence even to this day, if even just one person can see a piece of mine and feel their own power, I'd call that a success.
