Exploring the diverse world of flavors and culinary experiences can be daunting for many individuals who may hesitate due to a lack of understanding or knowledge about specific words or tastes. While ramen is widely recognized, especially through the popularity of Cup Noodles, its roots in Japan unfold a fascinating history featuring an array of flavors and techniques unique to different regions. This project aimed not only to master the intricacies of Figma but also to craft an immersive experience that educates individuals about the myriad delights awaiting them in the expansive realm of ramen.
When it comes to foods with a rich history, as well as regional differences, it can be just like trying to learn a new language. It's just as important to understand the story of how the dish came to be and developed over the years to help mitigate any myths or preconceived ideas.
When planning this app I wanted the journey to be as much about understanding the complexities of every flavor as well as highlighting the rich history of Ramen

Drawing inspiration from early-2000s cooking games and the vibrant aesthetics of Japanese minimalism, I strove to create a vivid and colorful app experience reminiscent of beloved Japanese video games. In contrast to wellness or minimalism, the focus here is on enjoyment and the exploration of a playful approach to eating, encouraging experimentation and customization.
